Trinity College offers more than $1 million in scholarships, awards and bursaries each year, in addition to support from the University of Toronto and the Faculty of Arts and Science. Whether you’re just starting at Trinity or finishing your degree, there’s funding available to recognize your achievements and help you make the most of your time here.

Just received your offer to attend Trinity College? Admission scholarships are available to incoming students from Trinity College, the University of Toronto, and the Faculty of Arts & Science, for both domestic and international students.

All eligible applicants to Trinity College will automatically be considered for admission scholarships and recipients will be notified of the scholarship as part of their offer of admission. Trinity College awards approximately 90 scholarships per year to incoming first-year students from all provinces. These range in value from $1,000 to $3,500 for one year.

Admission scholarships are also offered by the University of Toronto, and by the Faculty of Arts and Science, for both domestic and international students.

 In-course scholarships
Are you currently registered at Trinity? You may already be eligible for a scholarship without applying. Trinity automatically considers all students for in-course awards at the end of first, second, and third year based on academic standing. There are also application-based awards available if you want to be considered for additional funding.
Next deadline for application-based awards: May 4, 2026

Trinity College offers approximately 400 in-course and graduation awards to recognize academic and co-curricular achievement and to support those in financial need. There are two types of in-course scholarships for currently registered students: automatic and application-based scholarships.

Finishing your degree? Trinity offers graduation awards that recognize outstanding academic and co-curricular achievement. Some are awarded automatically; others require a short application. Certain awards are also open to students who graduated within the last two to five years and are continuing into graduate or professional programs.
Next deadline for application-based awards: May 4, 2026

Trinity provides funding to help students participate in opportunities that go beyond the classroom such as conferences, service learning, international travel, and study abroad programs. Funding is available during the academic year or in the summer following a registered term. Applications are submitted to the Office of the Registrar.

Bursaries are need-based and assessed solely on your financial situation — not your grades or involvement at Trinity. If you’re facing financial barriers, we encourage you to apply. A separate residence bursary is also available for returning students.
