Academic Rigour

Founded in 1851, Trinity is known for its academic excellence and is among the smallest colleges in the University of Toronto. Trinity offers an exceptional academic experience and is an innovator in interdisciplinary study. Trinity attracts engaged students who benefit from its many challenging opportunities, including research opportunities associated with academic programs.  

Arts & Science Programs

Students will study with leading scholars in small classes and have exceptional learning opportunities. For first-year students, Trinity offers the Margaret MacMillan Trinity One Program in six streams, which is among the many courses offered by the Faculty of Arts & Science. In upper years, students can enroll in one of Trinity’s competitive programs – Ethics, Society & Law, International Relations or Immunology – that we sponsor on behalf of the Faculty of Arts & Science.

Theology Programs

Trinity College’s Faculty of Divinity is one of the oldest centres for theological study in Canada and is affiliated with the Toronto School of Theology. Among the many advantages of studying at Trinity, our programs are interdisciplinary and reflect contemporary liturgical, spiritual, and pastoral practices. We are a vibrant and inclusive community, with students coming from many ecumenical backgrounds and from across Canada, the United States and around the globe.

Health & Wellness

Overall well-being, including mental, emotional and physical health, is a significant part of what makes students academically successful. Trinity offers dedicated mental health initiatives, support staff, peer advisors, along with wellness spaces and holistic initiatives.

Trinity is the only college at U of T with Academic Dons! Although they live in Trinity residence, they are available to ALL Trinity students, both residence and commuter students, for consultations on your academic studies throughout your time here.
