TRINITY COLLEGE LAST LECTURE will be held at 6 pm on Wednesday, March 31, 2027 in the George Ignaetiff Theatre (GIT), followed by a reception in the Lawson Centre for Sustainability Pavilion. Registration information to come.
The Last Lecture offers graduating students an opportunity to come together and reflect upon their experiences at Trinity College in the University of Toronto, bring closure to the time that they have spent here, and celebrate their many accomplishments both insides and outside of the classroom. This annual event features an address by a graduating student, a faculty member, and a distinguished alumni.

2027 Student Last Lecturer: THIS COULD BE YOU!
Applications are NOW OPEN for students to apply to be this year’s Student Last Lecturer. The Student Last Lecturer is a graduating student of Trinity College. Interested students are welcome to submit an application package to be this year’s Student Last Lecturer. Applications are assessed by a committee of Trinity College students, staff, and faculty. This committee will select the student for this prestigious opportunity. The deadline for applications will be Monday, February 1st, 2027 at 12pm noon (Toronto time). Professor Hang-Sun Kim was appointed to the position of the Dean of Arts effective July 1, 2026. Professor Kim earned her PhD in Germanic Languages and Literatures from Harvard University and has been teaching German language, literature, and culture in the University of Toronto’s Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures since 2015. Her scholarly and pedagogical areas of specialization include German foreign language pedagogy, modernist German and Austrian literature, exophonic literature, and literary urban studies. As Trinity College’s Dean of Arts, Professor Kim will provide leadership for academic programs and advance the academic mission within the College, the Faculty of Arts & Science and the University of Toronto.
