Mentorship

At Trinity College, we recognize the importance of being part of a strong learning community outside the classroom. Across many experiences throughout the year – formal programs, online platforms, college events, Trinity courses, student-initiatives, networking opportunities and casual gatherings – you will have opportunities to connect with, learn from and be mentored by our outstanding faculty, fellows, alumni, and other students. Our mentors enrich the intellectual community at the college and can enhance your learning experience in a variety of ways.

Check the following links for upcoming mentorship events and opportunities:

• Trinity College’s Alumni Career Mentorship Program is run by the Assistant Registrar, Career Exploration and Education. This program connects students with Trinity alumni through the Mentorship Launch event held at the beginning of the school year, where students get the opportunity to chat with alumni for two hours as well as the small group sessions where small groups of students get the opportunity to chat with a featured alumni about their journey to their careers. These opportunities are sent to students’ email inboxes and can also be found on the Trinity Career Exploration Instagram at @trinity_career_exploration.
• Arts & Science program-themed Academic Community Dinners with faculty and alumni guests: follow @fortrinstudents on Instagram and/or wait for email invitations throughout the year

“The alumni were genuinely happy to speak with, and learn about us, and to share their own experiences and advice. I had some really wonderful conversations with people I would not otherwise have been able to talk to and I will continue to correspond with one of the alumni I met at the event.”

– Alessia Avola 1T8. Alessia was involved in the Ethics, Society & Law Backpack to Briefcase mentorship event that connected students with Trinity alumni of the program.
