The International Relations Program at Trinity College and Partners In Health Canada warmly invite you to a fireside chat with global leaders from PIH in celebration of PIH Canada’s 15th Anniversary.
As traditional models of international assistance shift and shrink, what does solidarity in the movement for health as a human right look like today? How can Canada be a responsible and positive force for global health equity in this changing landscape? What are the on-the-ground realities we need to be aware of, and whose leadership should we be following?
Partners In Health (PIH) is a groundbreaking global health and social justice NGO that has been working to provide high-quality health care in resource poor settings for more than 40 years. Join us for a unique perspective with experts including:
Partners In Health Co-founder Ophelia Dahl, a TIME Most Influential Person of 2024.
Isata Dumbuya, Director of Nursing and Midwifery for Partners In Health Sierra Leone, named to the TIME’s 2026 Women of the Year list for her role overseeing major advances in maternal and child health and leading the opening of the Paul E. Farmer Maternal Center of Excellence — a transformative health care facility for women and families in rural West Africa.
Dr. Wesler Lambert, Executive Director of Zanmi Lasante (ZL), PIH’s sister organization in Haiti, the birthplace and inspiration for Partners In Health’s work for four decades.
Dr. Vanessa Redditt (Moderator), a family physician at the Crossroads Refugee Clinic, a specialized primary care clinic for refugees at Women’s College Hospital, and a lecturer at the University of Toronto’s Department of Community and Family Medicine and Dalla Lana School of Public Health.
